Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Leasing Specialist to drive rental sales, market the community, and maintain positive resident relations within the property. The role requires professionalism, strong customer service, and the ability to manage applications, move-ins, and routine administrative tasks.

The incumbent should thrive in a fast-paced environment, support a diverse resident base, and adhere to Fair Housing guidelines while contributing to a positive community experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience.
• Low-income housing and tax credit experience is highly desired.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is highly desired.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer skills: Word, Excel, Internet and e-mail.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify all prospects and record visits on guest cards.
• Demonstrate community features and apply product knowledge to close the sale.
• Process applications and deposits per company procedures and Fair Housing.
• Update availability, process approvals, and ensure move-in readiness.
• Follow up on non-closed prospects or refer to sister communities as needed.
• Maintain lease paperwork, input data into Yardi, and keep files current.
