Job summary

Avanath is seeking a Leasing Specialist to drive leasing, marketing, and resident relations within the community. The role requires presenting property features, guiding applicants through the process, and ensuring a positive leasing experience for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in sales/customer relations, English/Spanish bilingual ability, and strong computer skills including Yardi Voyager. Flexible schedule and a fast-paced environment are expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales and/or customer relations experience.
• Low-income housing and tax credit experience is highly desired.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) highly desired.
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends.
• Solid computer knowledge: Windows, Word, Excel; email & internet.
• Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and qualify all prospects.
• Record all telephone and in-person visits on guest cards.
• Inspect models and available market-ready units; communicate service needs to Community Manager.
• Demonstrate community and apartment/model features; close the sale.
• Have the prospect complete the application and secure a deposit per procedures and Fair Housing requirements.
• Update availability reports; process applications for approvals.
• Ensure the apartment is ready for move-in on the agreed date.
• Follow up with unclosed prospects and refer to sister communities if needed.
• Secure resident signatures and orient new residents to the community.
• Assist in monitoring renewals; distribute and follow up on renewal notices.
• Type lease agreements and input data into Yardi; maintain resident files.
• Distribute notices; maintain monthly commission records for bonuses.
• Support management with various tasks and ensure compliance with policies.
