Job summary

YKHC is seeking a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to deliver primary, acute, chronic and preventive care in village clinics across the Yukon-Kuskokwim region. The role requires relocation to a village, willingness to travel to Bethel for training, and year-round availability, including summers.

Responsibilities include itinerant coverage across YKHC villages, basic training sessions, and potential leadership of Health Aide staff.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be nominated by village council to serve as CHA/Practitioner.
• Willing to relocate to a village and travel to Bethel or training sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, acute, chronic and preventive health care and emergency care in village clinics.
• Be available for year-round coverage including summers.
• Function as float CHA/P to multiple villages as assigned by supervisor.
• Possibly lead a Health Aide team as Lead CHA.
