Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation (YKHC) invites applications for a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to deliver primary, acute, chronic and preventive care in rural Alaska village clinics.

Residence in a village or willingness to relocate is required, with travel to Bethel for trainings and year-round coverage, including summers. RPMS/Telehealth proficiency and CHAP policy adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be resident of the village or relocate to serve as a CHA/P.
• Must communicate in English and prefer ability to speak local village language.
• Must travel to Bethel and other training sites for basic training and required trainings.
• Participate in preventive and chronic care activities as appropriate to level of training.
• Abide by CHAP policies and procedures while in training and in the village.
• Provide year-round coverage including summers.
• Willing and able to provide itinerant coverage to other YKHC villages.
• Full Time Float CHA/P will function as other CHA/Ps, itinerant by Field Supervision Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary (acute, chronic and preventive) health care and emergency care at village clinics.
• May be tasked to be a Lead Health Aide.
