Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, seeks a Certified Health Practitioner (CHA/P) to provide primary, preventive, and emergency care at village clinics. This full-time role requires residency or relocation to a village and year-round coverage.

Travel to Bethel and other training sites for required trainings; itinerant coverage across YKHC villages; eligibility to become CHP/ETT or EMT.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be willing to relocate to a village and travel for trainings.
• Must attend CHP/ETT or EMT trainings to become certified.
• Must read, write and perform basic math (TABE).
• Nominated by Traditional or IRA Council to provide service.
• Year-round coverage including summers required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, acute, chronic and preventive care at village clinics.
• Travel to Bethel and other training sites for required trainings.
• Provide itinerant/station coverage across YKHC villages as assigned.
• Follow CHAP policies during training and service.
