Job summary

Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation seeks a Community Health Aide/Practitioner to deliver primary, acute, chronic, and preventive care at village clinics, including emergency services. The role requires year-round coverage and potential itinerant work to other YKHC villages, including travel to Bethel for training.

The ideal candidate is a local resident or willing to relocate to the village, will complete Health Aide sessions I–IV to become CHP, and may need EMT/ETT certification.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be nominated by the village Traditional or IRA Council.
• Must attend Health Aide Sessions I–IV to become a CHP and meet re-entry guidelines, with EMT/ETT certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary health care and emergency care at village clinics.
• Participate in preventive and chronic care activities as trained.
• Be prepared for itinerant coverage to other YKHC villages as assigned. Lead CHA/P roles may occur.
