Job summary

The Atlantic District is seeking a motivated and strategic insurance professional to run a Farmers agency by leading growth, operations, and client service in Harrisonburg, VA. As a Principal Agent, you become a cornerstone of our local community and drive long-term partnerships.

You will engage neighbors and businesses, solve protection challenges, and foster a culture of excellence and care while building authentic connections to improve outcomes for clients and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Virginia Property & Casualty Insurance License is required.
• Life & Health Insurance License is required.
• Proven track record in insurance sales or high-level account management.
• Strong understanding of the Harrisonburg local insurance market.
• Experience managing a small team or mentoring peers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and lead sales strategies to expand our local policyholder base.
• Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with residents and business owners in Harrisonburg.
• Develop custom insurance programs addressing client risks and needs.
• Provide ongoing mentorship to junior sales staff for professional growth.
• Analyze sales metrics and market trends to improve outreach impact.
• Ensure policy recommendations meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.
