Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations, financial management, governance, and staff oversight of a Community Association. You will help prepare budgets, monitor financials, and coordinate with legal and professional partners.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and experience in property or facilities management, with CMCA/AMS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, preferably in hospitality, property or facilities management.
• Minimum 2 years project management experience.
• Experience managing large direct or indirect staff.
• Working knowledge of budgets and fiduciary responsibility.
• Possession of or willingness to obtain CMCA/AMS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with day-to-day operations of the Community Association.
• Help prepare the annual budget and monitor financial management and recordkeeping.
• Assist with collection matters and maintenance fee accounts under guidance of counsel.
• Monitor monthly financials and prepare board packets and reports.
• Coordinate with attorneys, auditing firms, and engineering firms.
