Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to lead planning, testing, and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects. You will coordinate with engineers, construction, and quality teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery of fully operable renewable energy assets.

This hybrid role requires travel to job sites; you will report to the Commissioning Manager and help develop commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures while upholding NFPA/NEC standards and ISO requirements.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years in testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issues.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team with guidance and support.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of projects.
• Develop project milestone lists, commissioning plans, and procedures.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment testing and commissioning.
• Align commissioning activities with engineering, construction, and QA teams.
• Develop integrated testing/commissioning schedules and update weekly.
• Create commissioning resource plans for projects.
• Review energization procedures and assist with switching activities.
• Identify corrective actions for issues found during commissioning/opera tion.
• Develop standards and processes to improve business.
• Oversee all pre-commissioning and commissioning tests for BESS/HV/PV systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.
• Prepare daily commissioning reports and track test results and actions.
• Monitor timelines and resources to ensure successful delivery.
