Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Assistant Commissioning Manager to oversee testing and commissioning for HV, BESS, and PV projects. You will lead a commissioning team, coordinate with engineering, construction, and QA, and ensure plans, procedures, and schedules are executed per project requirements and safety standards.

This hybrid role requires onsite presence at job sites with some remote work, and involves coordinating with OEMs and cross-functional teams to deliver fully operable renewable energy

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility scale electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure.
• Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective execution of tasks.
• Report daily to the Commissioning Manager on status of each project.
• Develop commissioning plans, procedures, and schedules, updating as needed.
• Coordinate with OEM suppliers on equipment-specific testing and commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and QA teams to ensure alignment across commissioning activities.
• Develop integrated P6 testing and commissioning schedules and maintain updates weekly.
• Create and manage commissioning resource plans and switching plans as required.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting commissioning or initial operation.
• Contribute to standards and processes to improve business performance.
• Oversee pre-commissioning, cold, warm, and hot tests for BESS, HV, PV systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Prepare detailed daily commissioning reports and lessons learned.
