Job summary

MICRO CENTER is hiring Retail Computer Technicians in the United States, offering a starting base pay of $16.50 per hour with incentives that can raise hourly rates to $19.50–$35.00. The position blends customer-facing service at the counter with hands-on repair work in-shop, including diagnosing and communicating repair status to customers.

Qualified candidates typically hold a High School diploma and may have CompTIA A+ or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications, with flexibility to certify within 90

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CompTIA A+ certification or Apple ACMT/ACiT certifications, or ability to certify within 90 days.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person consultations and troubleshooting at the service counter for computers and related products.
• Recommend service solutions including data backups, anti-virus, warranties, and subscriptions.
• Identify, diagnose and document hardware or software problems on desktops, laptops, mobiles, TVs, and monitors.
• Assemble custom computers for BYO build-your-own sales team.
• Maintain certifications and stay up-to-date on products and technologies.
