Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
• Typically a minimum four years of relevant experience in claim handling.
• CNA Claim Training Program may be considered after 2 years of experience.
• Must obtain/maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days where applicable.
• Professional designations (e.g., CPCU) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage moderate to high complexity commercial claims per company protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service to insureds, claimants and partners.
• Verify coverage and establish reserves per policy language and guidelines.
• Gather information, interview customers and witnesses to determine claim facts.
• Maintain relationships with internal and external partners to resolve claims.
• Authorize disbursements within authority and escalate when needed.
• Identify subrogation, salvage opportunities or potential fraud for referrals.
• Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance on each file.
• May mentor less experienced claim professionals.
