Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a Commercial Rear/Side Load Driver to safely collect waste and recyclables from commercial sites on assigned routes. You will operate rear-load/side-load trucks, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain accurate route records.

The role requires a Class 3 Commercial Driver's License and at least 1 year of commercial driving experience, with a focus on safety and reliable customer service on each route.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess a Class 3 Commercial Driver's License.
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience.
• Must be able to meet safety-sensitive criteria.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Commercial Waste / Recycling collection vehicle, side-load and/or rear-load truck, and hydraulic system to collect solid waste and/or recyclables.
• Load solid waste or recyclables into the vehicle.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and maintain records.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain route quality and comply with safety policies.
