Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a dedicated Residential Driver to safely collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes.

The role involves operating trucks, loading materials, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness while adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), and at least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• At least 1 year commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to safely drive and operate waste collection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection trucks and load waste or recyclables.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete documentation.
• Identify and report mechanical problems and safety hazards to supervisor.
• Maintain route quality and comply with safety rules and company policies.
• Assist with route optimization and equipment operation as required.
