Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a full-time Residential Driver to safely collect waste and recyclables from curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate a rear- or side-load truck, load materials, and ensure cleanliness and safety on every shift.

You must have a CDL, strong driving record, and the ability to follow route instructions, perform inspections, and maintain accurate service records. This is a physical, outdoor role requiring safety-first practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• CDL license required.
• At least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck and equipment on route.
• Load waste and recyclables into vehicle.
• Compact trash using vehicle equipment.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and documentation.
• Report vehicle issues and accidents immediately.
• Maintain route quality and safety compliance.
• May work overtime and attend safety meetings.
