Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a dedicated driver for residential and recycling collection on specified routes in the United States. You will operate rear-load/side-load trucks, load and compact waste, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance throughout daily duties.

The role requires a CDL, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL training. You will work with a team, handle route sheets, and contribute to a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck and related equipment on assigned route.
• Load waste/recyclables into vehicle; manage compacting and vehicle operations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintain route documentation.
• Identify and report safety issues; ensure compliance with all policies and regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and proper inventory of containers and parts.
• Oversee helpers (if applicable) and coordinate with supervisor to improve routing.
