Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a professional commercial driver to operate rear-load and automated-side trucks on assigned routes. You will assist loaders, conduct safety checks, and communicate with customers along the way.

This role requires a valid CDL (Class A or B), a high school diploma or GED, and a commitment to DOT regulations and safe operation. The position is on-site with benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT / OSHA / FMCSA / EPA regulations and standards.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend documents and maps.
• Capable of safe operation and control of heavy-duty truck equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drives rear-load, curotto, or automated-side load trucks on designated routes to collect waste.
• Assist helpers with loading; back up using mirrors and GPS; maintain route safety.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Notify supervisor of issues and interact with customers along the route.
• Maintain DOT logbook, productivity sheets, and comply with safety policies.
