Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Sales Account Executive to promote and sell security services and technology within an assigned territory.

The role emphasizes closing new business, renewals, and upgrades, while maximizing customer satisfaction and retention. You will maintain deep knowledge of our product line and customer needs, pursue referrals, and manage the end-to-end sales process from prospecting to post-install follow-up.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral, written and presentation skills with the ability to present to senior level executives within the customer and Johnson Controls Security organizations
• Ability to work a full-time schedule
• Available for local travel
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a successful commercial sales representative in the security, IT or other technology sales industry, demonstrated by the consistent ability to meet and exceed quota.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Johnson Controls Security services and technology within an assigned territory, closing new business and ensuring customer retention
• Resale opportunities within an assigned territory; identify prospects and maintain productive relationships with existing customers
• Establish call plans, follow-up strategies and territory management techniques; follow up with prospects
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of our product line and customer needs through training and research
• Obtain referrals and work with Centers of Influence
• Process work orders and complete all paperwork per approved procedures
• Conduct post-installation follow-up to ensure commitments are met and customer satisfaction
• Renew existing customer agreements
