Job summary

First New York in Albany is seeking a detail-oriented loan servicing professional to manage Commercial loan workflows, perform annual reviews data collection, and ensure timely updates to the core system. You will monitor real estate taxes, coordinate with vendors on tax reporting, and assist with mortgage processes and insurance tracking.

The role requires strong organizational skills, confidentiality, and clear communication with members and staff.

Qualifications

• One to two years of similar or related experience in Loan Processing/Servicing.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with members and staff tactfully and professionally, both in person and on the phone.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• General computer knowledge Excel and Word to create documents, letters, spreadsheets and templates.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly while handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Performs all required loan servicing functions for all loan types, focusing on Commercial Loans.
• Works directly with Lending staff and borrowers assisting in the Commercial Loan Annual Review data collection, core system changes, reporting & ongoing file maintenance.
• Responsible for tax monitoring on Commercial & Consumer real estate and reporting findings to lending management; coordinates with third party vendors on monthly tax reporting.
• Assists in the monthly Commercial loan adjustable rate mortgage processes: letters, system updates, maturities, rewrites.
• Follows up on Homeowners & Flood Insurances for all loan types, ensures credit union is protected and insured; files all policies.
• Protects the credit union’s interest in recording collateral for all loan types: DMV lien, UCC filings, Letters of Guarantee, etc.
• Assists with Life & Disability debt cancellations; processes and distributes proceeds; completes GAP claims and file maintenance.
