Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee an assigned book of business, drive retention, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day administration and customer service, resolve complex issues, and ensure accurate policy data across systems.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), active P&C licensing, and preferably a CIC or equivalent designation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
