Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, retain accounts, and support new business. You will coordinate daily admin and customer service, resolve complex issues, and ensure accuracy across policy administration, billing, and renewals.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, with an active P&C license and preferred CIC designation.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license is required.
• 3+ years account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business and support new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service tasks.
• Resolve complex issues and ensure no errors or omissions.
• Maintain technical competence and industry knowledge.
• Lead daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Monitor policy expirations and renewals; conduct client submissions and negotiations.
• Track delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accuracy.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
