Job summary

A leading insurance firm is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage a book of large lines business. The role involves client consultations, policy renewals, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and carriers. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in account management and possess an active Property & Casualty License.

Qualifications

Responsibilities
  1. Manage a designated book of large lines business, including policy renewals, coverage summaries, binders, certificates, proposals, and insurance documents in a timely manner.
  2. Conduct consultative discussions with commercial clients to assess needs and deliver tailored insurance solutions.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurance carriers.
  4. Obtain renewal quotes, process renewals, and handle cancellations or non-renewals as needed.
  5. Prepare marketing submissions for existing accounts as required.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling appropriate coverages.
  2. Support miscellaneous tasks to contribute to team and agency growth.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in insurance customer service or account management.
  • Experience with large lines of commercial insurance.
  • Active Property & Casualty License (all lines).
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products, terminology, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Applied/EPIC preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional development commitment; college degree or industry designations preferred.
  • Positive attitude and resilience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service skills and positive client experience focus.
  • Effective prioritization and communication skills.
