Job summary

gpac is seeking a Commercial Loan Assistant to support the commercial loan team in bank operations and client service. You will process loan requests, monitor records, and assist with closings while ensuring regulatory compliance and thorough documentation.

The role emphasizes accurate record-keeping, cross‑department collaboration, and delivering professional service to commercial customers throughout the loan lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more experience in bank lending or loan operations.
• Understanding of commercial lending processes and loan documentation.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; banking loan software (Jack Henry or Fiserv) preferred.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process loan requests, extensions, advances, and modifications with lenders.
• Keep loan records current and monitor exceptions while meeting regulatory/documentation requirements.
• Assist with loan closings by coordinating documents with borrowers, attorneys, and realtors.
• Provide professional service as a primary contact for commercial customers throughout the loan lifecycle.
• Support cross‑department collaboration to maintain up‑to‑date files and resolve inquiries.
