Job summary

Sentinel Federal Credit Union seeks a detail-oriented Commercial Credit Assistant to support the commercial loan portfolio from application through servicing. You will coordinate documentation, support closings and funding, and maintain accurate records while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role involves collaboration with members, lenders, brokers, builders, appraisers, and title companies, with a focus on accuracy, follow-through, and delivering excellent member service.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in loan processing and documentation.
• Strong communication with members, lenders, and partners to obtain documents.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a loan portfolio environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide clerical and servicing support through all phases of commercial/construction loans.
• Verify account information, prepare loan documents, and coordinate title work.
• Support closings and funding, including post-closing file assembly and reviews.
• Communicate professionally with members, brokers, builders, appraisers, and internal teams.
• Assist with underwriting conditions and ensure timely loan approvals.
• Maintain accurate loan files and keep the loan system up to date.
• Review accounts, reconcile balances, and process approvals or denials.
• Generate reports to support loan tracking and management needs.
• Serve as a primary contact for loan file updates and periodic reviews.
• Support training and mentoring of new staff as needed.
