Job summary

gpac is hiring a Commercial Loan Assistant to support commercial loan operations within a bank-like environment. You will partner with lenders to process loan requests, monitor documentation, and coordinate closings with borrowers, attorneys, and realtors.

In this role you will maintain loan records, provide exceptional customer service to commercial clients, and contribute to process improvements. A year of related experience and knowledge of loan documentation are preferred, with Word/Excel

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related experience in bank lending or loan operations.
• Understanding of commercial lending processes and loan documentation.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel; experience with banking loan software (Jack Henry or Fiserv) is desirable.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process loan requests, extensions, advances, and modifications with lenders.
• Keep loan records current and monitor exceptions per regulations.
• Assist with loan closings by coordinating documents with borrowers, attorneys, and realtors.
• Serve as a professional contact for commercial customers throughout the loan lifecycle.
• Support cross‑department collaboration to maintain files and resolve inquiries.
• Prepare loan documentation, reports, and credit memos for lenders and management.
• Contribute to special projects to improve operations.
