Magnifi Financial is seeking a responsible Commercial Loan Assistant to closely work with the Commercial Banking Officers and servicing teams. You will help service commercial portfolios, collect required documents, and ensure loans close in compliance with policies and regulations.

The role involves gathering financials, maintaining files, and communicating with members across branches and online channels to support loan funding and relationship growth.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in-person to commercial members in all areas of the member relationship with Magnifi Financial including loans, deposits, and other services.
• Communicates loan, deposit and service status/updates to members, CBOs, and support staff.
• Maintains and reviews commercial lending files for accuracy and completion.
• Inputs data for loan requests, renewals, ad hoc requests, change memos and annual reviews.
• Monitors lending reports and ensures proper documentation is included and up to date.
• Collects financials and documentation needed to complete loan requests.
• Maintains proactive member relationships via follow-up calls and emails.
• Supports members across in-branch, online, and phone channels.
• Prepares new loan requests and extensions as required.
• Requests needed documentation to meet closing conditions.
• Monitors covenants and notifies lenders of violations.
• Prepares and mails proposal/commitment letters and adverse actions.
• Orders title work, appraisals, environmental risk assessments, and insurance items for closing.
• Manages disbursements, subordination requests, and fee reversals.
• Maintains knowledge of loan documentation and relevant regulations.
• Keeps abreast of policy changes relating to commercial loans.
• Supports construction loan disbursement processes and lien waivers.
• Promotes Magnifi Financial products and services to members.
• Assists with SBA and Government Guarantee loans.
• Suggests process improvements to improve efficiencies.
• Participates in community relations to support Magnifi Financial’s mission.

Education

Associate’s degree in a business-related field
