Job summary

PowerSecure, a Southern Company subsidiary, is seeking a Service Technician for commercial generators. You will perform maintenance and repair on generator and power distribution equipment, and provide technical support to customers on operational aspects.

Role requires field experience with generator systems, understanding of ATS and engine diagnostics, and ability to read schematics. Travel to customer sites is a daily/occasional requirement, with 85% outdoor work in varied conditions.

Qualifications

• Three years of field experience servicing generator systems.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to perform triennial maintenance and diagnostics.
• Understanding of automatic transfer systems and basic controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 on-call services as required.
• Maintain and safeguard company equipment and tools.
• Perform preventative maintenance on contracted equipment.
• Coordinate and manage on-site subcontractors.
