Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician – Commercial Generators to maintain and repair contracted and non-contracted generator and power distribution equipment. You will also provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects.

Daily travel to customer sites is required; the role emphasizes safety, precise work, and timely paperwork. The position offers career advancement through hands-on training and exposure to Woodward/PLC controls in an advanced electric

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; related military experience or equivalent field experience.
• Three years of field experience servicing generator systems (500kW+).
• Ability to read schematics and diagnose electrical/mechanical systems.
• Operational understanding of Automatic Transfer Systems; able to troubleshoot with guidance.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites; ability to read and interpret technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance and repair of generator and power distribution equipment.
• Provide 24x7 on-call services as required.
• Coordinate and manage on-site subcontractors hired by PowerSecure as necessary.
• Maintain company vehicle and required tools and instruments.
• Complete paperwork timely (Field Service Reports, Time Sheets, Expense Reports).
• Provide technical support to customers upon request.
