Job summary

Under supervision, you will verify policy coverage, gather information, document files, and authorize disbursements within authority limits.

You will communicate with insureds and business partners, learn to assess liability, reserves, and settlements, and work with internal teams to achieve timely, accurate outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Completion of a formal training program.
• License eligibility for Insurance Adjuster.

Responsibilities

• Handle and resolve low complexity commercial claims under supervision.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants and partners with professional updates.
• Verify coverage and gather information to support claim handling.
• Review policy language to estimate potential claim value and set reserves.
• Determine liability and negotiate settlements within authority limits.
• Collaborate with internal and external resources to facilitate outcomes.
• Ensure documentation and disbursement accuracy per guidelines.
• Identify subrogation or fraud indicators and refer appropriately.
• Maintain compliance with state/local regulations for the line of business.
• Meet quality and cycle time targets for each file.
