Job summary

Lone Star National Bank in Roma, TX seeks a Business Relationship Manager I (SA) to develop new commercial banking business prospects and deepen customer relationships in accordance with the development plan.

You will target small local businesses, aim to generate $3MM–$6MM in annual gross production, and collaborate with lending, mortgage, investments, and treasury teams. Bilingual English/Spanish desirable, strong leadership and compliance needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
• At least three years’ prior experience working as a Credit Analyst for a financial institution.
• Credit analysis training or sufficient knowledge of credit analysis methods.
• Knowledge of the bank’s commercial lending pricing and products.
• Strong knowledge of sales and referral practices and regulatory awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develops new commercial banking business prospects in accordance with established business development plan
• Retains and deepens existing customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and developing effective individual business plans
• Grows a loan portfolio by targeting small and local business and is able to generate between $3MM - $6MM in annual gross production
• Focuses on building a team and working cohesively with all staff at the banking center
• Cross-sells and refers customers to bank partners for more complex financial needs
• Structures and presents credit and deposit products with collaboration from other units
• Oversees preparation of new and renewal loan packages for approval and credit process
• May solicit or take residential mortgage loan applications and negotiate terms
• Manages hiring, daily activities, coaching, and evaluation of reporting staff
• Maintains knowledge of risk controls and compliance policies
