Job summary

Safepoint MGA, LLC is seeking an Agency Relations Manager to grow a profitable US territory by building strong agency relationships and prospecting new agencies. You will collaborate with product, pricing, and agency management to drive growth, supported by excellent communication and a persistent, personable approach.

The role requires travel within the territory and home-office-based work, with a focus on expanding market share through effective agency partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
• Successful previous experience as an Insurance Sales Representative or Sales Coordinator for more than 3 years.
• In-depth Property and Casualty Insurance knowledge across multiple lines.
• Strong understanding of personal and commercial lines underwriting guidelines.
• 3–5 years of account management and customer service experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional networks.
• Valid resident Property & Casualty and/or Excess and Surplus licensure, with reciprocal state licensure where applicable.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Scout and identify potential agencies for specific insurance programs.
• Motivate agents to grow and build agency relationships.
• Develop systematic marketing processes to attract and retain new business.
• Design and implement strategies for effective marketing and sales of insurance contracts.
• Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products.
• Follow up with plans and hold process owners accountable for actions.
• Adjust sales approach to fit differences between small and large agencies.
• Influence Safepoint product sales through agency distribution.
• Articulate a solution-oriented sales process aligning features/benefits to agency needs.
• Proactively develop business solutions to achieve territory objectives.
