Job summary

Safepoint Insurance is seeking an Agency Relations Manager to grow a profitable Colorado territory by developing independent agents, prospecting new agencies, and collaborating on product and pricing decisions.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, persistent interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence agency growth while navigating industry trends and trade shows. This role requires travel within the territory and a home-office setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
• Successful previous experience as an Insurance Sales Representative or Sales Coordinator for more than 3 years
• In-depth Property and Casualty Insurance industry knowledge, including vehicle, home, business, fire, life, property, and bonds
• Strong understanding of Personal and Commercial Lines underwriting guidelines
• 3-5 years of previous account management and customer service experience
• The ability to establish and maintain professional networks
• Applicable valid resident Property & Casualty and/or Excess and Surplus licensure, as well as reciprocal licensure for applicable states
• Valid Driver's License
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

• Scout and identify potential agencies for specific insurance programs
• Identify agencies' interests and ability to grow; motivate agents to succeed.
• Initiate systematic marketing processes within each agency to attract and retain new business.
• Design and implement strategies for effective marketing and sales of insurance contracts
• Represent company at trade association meetings to promote products
• Build and use best practices regarding Agency Operations; hold plan owners accountable for actions
• Adjust sales approach to support differences between small and large agencies
• Influence the sale of Safepoint products through agency distribution
• Articulate a solution-oriented sales process aligned with agency needs
• Initiate high level follow-up with agents and team members
• Develop business solutions to achieve territory objectives
• Maintain flexibility with different social styles
• Develop collaborative strategic agency management plans with agencies
• Prioritize and maximize time and resources for success
• Stay current on product and pricing changes and articulate company position
• Expand marketplace presence through industry trade shows and events
• Other tasks and projects as assigned
