Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Charleston, SC area is seeking an Estimator in Training to learn the art of diagnosing and preparing repair estimates that are accurate, thorough, and profitable under insurance partner and company guidelines.

As part of our WOW Operating Way, you'll greet customers, map damage, prepare parts lists, and collaborate with the repair team to finalize estimates while keeping customers informed and supported through the repair process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Prior customer service experience.
• Must complete 16 I-CAR units within the first 12 months of employment.
• Preferred: 4-6 years related work experience; photo-imaging software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers at drop-off and build rapport.
• Maps damage and identifies WOW opportunities.
• Prepares estimate using Repair Planning Template.
• Uploads photos and notes to CCC One; notes arrival time.
• Notifies production and verifies estimate during teardown.
• Sets promise date and contacts customer to review.
• Updates customer regularly per management standards.
• Participates in production meetings.
