Job summary

Jobtailor in California is seeking an experienced Automotive Estimator to educate customers on repair processes, insurance procedures, rights, and repair techniques while maintaining high quality. You will manage each repair, perform post-scan checks, and keep customers informed about status throughout the process.

You will prepare initial and final estimates, review data with Body Technicians, handle disbursement paperwork, and ensure carrier-specific requirements are met to close files

Qualifications

• Candidates have strong customer service experience and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Familiarity with insurance procedures and automotive estimating is preferred.
• Experience with common estimating systems is required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on vehicle repair processes, insurance procedures, customer rights, repair techniques, safety, and value
• Complete initial estimates, write complete estimates after full disassembly and damage evaluation, and lock final estimates
• Manage each repair throughout the process
• Perform in-process quality control to ensure Crash Champions’ quality standards
• Keep customers informed and updated on vehicle status
• Pull and review all data procedures for/with Body Technicians
• Complete post-scanning for each vehicle in the repair process
• Pre-close the final repair order
• Handle disbursement paperwork
• Address file exceptions and ensure carrier-specific requirements are complete
