Job summary

Addison Group is hiring on behalf of our client, a leader in the collections industry, for a Collections Representative in Newark, DE. The role focuses on contacting individuals with overdue accounts, establishing payment plans, and following up to ensure timely payments, with skip tracing when needed.

You will work on-site, following FDCPA guidelines, manage documentation, and achieve targets while supporting a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Full availability for training and 40-hour work weeks.
• Willingness to work at least two nights per week (until 9:00 pm).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, manage stress, and meet deadlines.
• Highly organized and goal-driven.
• Experience in collections, telemarketing, or customer service is a plus.
• Familiarity with FDCPA regulations and credit reports preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact clients to collect on overdue accounts.
• Set up and manage payment arrangements.
• Handle a minimum number of accounts per hour as set by management.
• Perform skip tracing to locate clients.
• Keep detailed records of all account activity.
• Follow all FDCPA guidelines and company policies.
