Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a collections and customer service associate to locate, notify and secure payments from delinquent accounts. The role involves texting, calling, and mailing notices, reviewing terms, and documenting all interactions.

You will travel to customer homes for payments, assist with repossessions when approved, and support legal actions for severely late payers. You will also log activities, handle cash drawer responsibilities, and assist on the sales floor while

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Sends text messages, mails letters and/or notices to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Confer with customers by text or phone to determine reasons for overdue payments and review terms.
• Document all correspondence with customers concerning accounts.
• Receive payments and post to customer accounts.
• Maintain and balance cash drawer and secure when unattended.
• Travel to customers' homes to collect payments and assist with repossessions as needed (with approval).
• Prepare paperwork for potential legal action against severely late-paying customers.
• Initiate credit investigations by telephone under direction of Credit Manager.
• Log daily, weekly, and monthly activity details.
• Operate PC, printer, calculator, and office equipment as needed.
• Log service requests and schedule merchandise repairs.
• Assist customers on the sales floor as assigned; participate in sales floor rotation and CRM updates.
• Maintain sales quota as per store goals.
• Follow store operations and customer service standards.
