Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Supervisor of Coding and Education to lead the Coding staff, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance across CMS guidelines. You will oversee daily workflows, mentor staff, and coordinate audits, denials, and training with the Manager and Director.

This role requires a coding certificate, ACC or CCS credentials, and at least three years in a high-volume coding environment, with supervision experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Coding certificate (or equivalent) and professional coding certifications.
• Minimum 3 years of coding experience in a high-volume setting.
• Previous supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise coding staff for daily workflow and education.
• Monitor productivity, quality, and compliance in coding activities.
• Provide orientation and training to staff and new hires.
• Review revenue cycle workflows including audits, denials, and charge review.
• Analyze coding denials and coordinate with PFS for corrections.
• Assist management with departmental reporting and special projects.
