Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Coding Support Specialist to assist in assigning ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient accounts and to support department-wide data reporting. You will coordinate calendars, meetings, and travel for the Coding team, while addressing billing and registration issues in collaboration with Patient Accounts and Coding Specialists.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding and guidelines.
• Experience with data entry, data management, and reporting.
• Strong knowledge of health information management and patient confidentiality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes to inpatient accounts.
• Compile and summarize data for reports and presentations.
• Coordinate department calendars, meetings, and travel arrangements.
• Assist in special projects and resolve billing or registration issues.
