Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a Coding Education Specialist to help design, develop, and deliver Coding Quality education across departments. You will collaborate with leadership, IT, and revenue cycle teams to implement education strategies and improve documentation and coding accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
• Must be a CCS/ CCS-P or CPC/CPC-H credential through AHIMA or AAPC.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of coding communication and education plans.
• Create learning materials, handbooks, and training content.
• Lead training sessions on current billing and coding information.
• Mentor physicians and provide feedback to vendors to improve performance.
• Communicate coding and documentation principles to Physician Group and Revenue Cycle staff.
• Deliver training via instructor-led, virtual, or web-based methods.
• Maintain training materials and respond to coding questions.
