Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Compliance Coding Auditor-Educator to serve as a subject matter expert for CPT, ICD and HCC coding procedures. The role involves leading audits, reporting results, and educating providers and staff on compliant coding standards.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, CPC or RHIT, and at least 2 years in coding, reimbursement analysis, or medical record auditing.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Credentials/licensure: CPC or RHIT required; Certified Auditor of HIM preferred.
• Minimum experience: 2 years of coding, reimbursement analysis, insurance issue resolution and medical record auditing.

Responsibilities

• Develops and leads audit projects for medical record integrity.
• Reports audit results using a standard reporting process.
• Identifies new errors during audits; investigates and assesses root cause.
• Performs one-on-one audit meetings and provides corrective educational guidance.
• Maintains knowledge of CPT, coding guidelines and diagnosis coding requirements.
• Provides training for staff and providers on CPT, ICD10 and HCC coding standards.
