Job summary

Mativ is seeking a Coating Operator to support the Sustainability and Adhesives Solution Function. The role involves setting up and operating coating machines, applying adhesive to release liners and substrates, and maintaining a clean room environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, fluent English, basic math, and mechanical aptitude. Training will cover machine setup, safety practices, data entry, and quality inspections to ensure product specifications are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; fluent English (spoken and written).
• Basic math and reading skills required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read measuring devices accurately.
• Ability to use computer for data entry and related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up coating machine using measuring instruments to achieve specified mill thickness and coated width.
• Prepare raw materials for coating process and stage them for the machine.
• Move and position materials safely using material handling equipment; follow safety protocols.
• Enter data into the computer system; ensure inventory accuracy for each job.
• Operate both wet and dry ends of the coating machine; perform changeovers and routine maintenance.
• Maintain clean room appearance and organize workstation for efficiency and safety.
• Communicate shift activities at handoff and escalate quality or machine issues.
