The Fresh Market is seeking a Co-Store Director in North Carolina to partner with the Store Director and lead the store team in daily operations. You will guide multiple departments, drive sales, maintain brand standards, and ensure top-notch guest and team member experiences.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of leadership in retail or hospitality, strong financial and people skills, and a commitment to hospitality and teamwork. This on-site role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hospitality, or general business.
• Demonstrated success overseeing multiple departments or store-wide operations.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to achieve sales, margin, labor, and operational goals.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain after hire.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote values of passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork in every interaction.
• Serve as a visible, accessible leader on the sales floor, supporting team members and guests.
• Recruit, hire, and develop team members, building a strong pipeline of future leaders.
• Oversee sales departments to ensure merchandising, signage, and assortment reflect local guest needs and brand standards.
• Manage key financial areas, including sales, gross margin, labor planning, inventory control, and shrink reduction.
• Partner with department managers to ensure effective ordering, scheduling, and workload planning.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
• Serve as a brand ambassador representing The Fresh Market with hospitality and professionalism.
