Job summary

The Fresh Market Roanoke is seeking a Co-Store Director who will partner with the Store Director to drive performance and guest experience. You will lead the store team on daily operations, merchandising, and department oversight across Produce & Floral, Meat & Seafood, Bakery, Deli & CMS, and Center Store, while upholding the brand standards and hospitality values.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, hospitality, or related fields.
• Demonstrated success overseeing multiple departments or store-wide operations.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to hit sales, margin, and labor targets.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Food safety certification or ability to obtain after hire.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote values of passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork.
• Serve as a visible leader on the sales floor, supporting team members and guests.
• Recruit, hire, and develop team members to build future leaders.
• Oversee departments to reflect local guest needs and brand standards.
• Manage sales, gross margin, labor planning, inventory, and shrink reduction.
• Partner with managers to ensure effective ordering and scheduling.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
• Engage with guests and the local community as a brand ambassador.
• Develop relations with vendors and partners to strengthen store presence.
