Job summary

The Fresh Market Inc seeks a Co-Store Director to lead store operations and drive exceptional guest experiences across Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill areas. You will partner with the Store Director to guide daily operations, develop teams, and ensure high-quality service while maintaining brand standards.

You will recruit and coach staff, oversee multiple departments, and manage merchandising, scheduling, and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, restaurants, hospitality, or general business.
• Oversight of multiple departments or store-wide operations.
• Strong financial acumen to hit sales, margin, labor and inventory goals.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and MS Office.
• Food Safety Certification or ability to obtain after hire; must be 21+.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee departments to reflect local guest needs and brand standards.
• Manage sales, gross margin, labor planning, inventory, and shrink reduction.
• Partner with department managers on ordering, scheduling, and workload planning.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the brand with hospitality and professionalism in-store and in the community.
• Build relationships with guests, address questions, and resolve concerns.
• Engage with local organizations and vendors to strengthen store presence.
