The Fresh Market in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area seeks a Co-Store Director to partner with the Store Director, oversee daily operations, and drive an exceptional guest and team member experience.

You will lead multiple departments, recruit and develop talent, manage sales, margins, labor, and inventory while upholding food safety and brand standards in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years managing supermarkets/retail/food-service environments.
• Proven ability to lead multiple departments and drive store performance.
• Strong financial, staffing, and customer-service focus.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote values of passion, excellence, hospitality, and teamwork.
• Be a visible, accessible leader on the sales floor, supporting team members.
• Recruit, hire, and develop team members, building a strong pipeline of future leaders.
• Oversee departments to ensure merchandising, signage, and assortment meet local needs and brand standards.
• Manage sales, gross margin, labor planning, inventory control, and shrink.
• Partner with department managers to ensure effective ordering, scheduling, and workload.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a brand ambassador with hospitality and professionalism in-store and in the community.
• Build relationships with guests, respond to questions, and resolve concerns.
