Job summary

Heraeus Medevio in White Bear Lake, MN offers an 8-month Co-Op in R&D and Operations engineering fields, May–Dec 2027. You'll work under experienced engineers on real-world medical device projects, with mentorship and cross-functional exposure.

As a Continuous Improvement Engineer Co-Op, you’ll optimize processes, layouts, and staffing, applying LEAN and Six Sigma to improve scalability, quality, and cost efficiency—onsite with occasional travel to Fridley, MN.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable program.
• Minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Ability to work full-time onsite during the duration of the co-op.
• Strong analytical and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support optimization of process flows, layouts, staffing, and workstation design.
• Drive process improvements using LEAN and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Support cost/benefit analyses for process changes and/or equipment.
• Review and support the Medevio CAPTURE program opportunities.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings and activities.
• Respond to changing priorities in a timely manner.
