Potbelly Corporate in Willowbrook, IL is seeking an Assistant Manager to co-lead the shop alongside the General Manager. You will train, coach and develop staff, interview and hire, and drive a positive culture while meeting labor and safety standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of management experience in foodservice, strong communication, and the ability to manage schedules and costs. This on-site position offers a salary of $50,000–$55,000 with bonus potential and comprehensive

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years management experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Must meet state Food Safety requirements and obtain a Food Safety Certification.
• Ability to write schedules and manage labor goals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach and develop Potbelly Associates and Shift Leaders.
• Effectively interview and recommend hiring of Associates and Shift Leaders.
• Develop and maintain a Good Vibes culture for staff retention.
• Effectively schedule Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders.
• Update communication board with critical shop information.
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings.
• Ensure all security procedures are followed.
• Manage back-of-house procedural standards and cash handling.
