Job summary

Potbelly Corporate is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead restaurant teams across shifts, train leaders, and drive a positive store culture at the Evergreen Park location. You will interview candidates, schedule staff, and ensure security and operational standards are met.

This role requires at least 2 years of management experience in food-service or retail, food safety certification, and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of at least 2 years management experience in either a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• You must pass and obtain a Food Safety Certification; IL applicants must become food safety certified within 30 days of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach and develop Potbelly Associates and Shift Leaders.
• Effectively interview and recommend hiring of Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders.
• Develop and maintain a Good Vibes culture that fosters attraction & retention.
• Effectively schedule Associates, Certified Trainers and Shift Leaders.
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings.
• Ensure all security procedures are followed.
