Job summary

Fives is seeking an Installation Technician for the HPM Aftermarket Americas to install, align, commission, and service advanced machine tools at customer facilities across North America and internationally.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with CNC-controlled equipment, and the ability to lead installation activities while collaborating with customers and contractors.

Qualifications

Four to six years related experience and/or training.
High level mechanical and electrical aptitude.
Experience with CNC controls such as FANUC, Siemens or Heidenhain.
Ability to lead installation activities and coordinate with customers and contractors.
Read and interpret assembly drawings and electrical schematics.
Hands-on field service experience.

Responsibilities

Report and communicate schedules, issues and daily updates with Manager.
Install, maintain, and instruct operators on computer controls associated with standalone machine tools.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform machine checkout and acceptance activities.
Lead installation activities and coordinate with customer personnel, contractors, and internal teams.
Prepare service reports, installation reports, and other special reports as requested by the supervisor.
Travel up to 90% and work at customer facilities across North America and internationally.
