Job summary

Your Talent Team is partnered with an equipment builder to hire a CNC Field Service Engineer. You will install, troubleshoot, and service CNC machine tools at customer sites nationwide, with extensive travel and on-site/remote support.

The role emphasizes electrical/mechanical expertise, PLC programming, and strong customer communication as you ensure peak performance and reliability. Reporting to the CNC Field Service Manager, you will travel predominantly on weekdays and provide training and

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC machine tool service experience (electrical and mechanical).
5+ years remote technical support within machine tool industry.
Experience installing/servicing machining centers with leveling and alignment.
Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting knowledge.
FANUC CNC controls experience and industrial electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Install CNC machine tool systems at customer sites, including options.
Perform leveling, geometry checks, and final adjustments for peak performance.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and application issues.
Identify root causes and recommend corrective actions including repairs.
Provide on-site and remote technical support via phone, email, and other channels.
Support customers, distributors, and internal teams with technical guidance.
Provide customer training and assist with project coordination as needed.
Provide service at trade shows and company events when required.
Maintain detailed service documentation and reporting.
Travel extensively (100%) including overnights and weekends.
